PRUNUS FRUIT - ORIENTAL ASIAN PEAR

Asian Pear is a fruit tree in the rose family native to Asia that produces large, crisp, juicy fruits that are quite good and can be eaten raw or cooked. It typically grows 30-40 feet tall and prefers deep fertile soils but is adaptable to clay soils. Flowers are produced in spring and fruit takes 4-7 months to ripen. Fruit production is best in full sun and with another cultivar nearby that blooms at the same time. Deer will browse the tree.
