Bosc are easily identified by their cinnamon-brown skin and unique shape. The elongated neck of a Bosc pear sharply widens out to a rounded form on the bottom. Bosc is famous for being one of the densest pears, meaning that they are incredibly durable and thrive in conditions where softer pears wouldn’t stand a chance. Their thick outer skin and densely firm texture protects them from both pests and harsh weather conditions. Bosc pears are extremely sweet and delicious. The creamy white flesh inside is quite soft, juicy, and contains aromatic floral tasting notes. ¶
